Over the years, we have watched the event emerge into one of the "happenings" around the downtown area.
This Saturday, The Arts Company on Fifth Avenue, staged a Trailer Park Drive In to kick off the Nashville Film Festival.
Along with the new exhibits, a trailer park was staged in the open garage area adjacent to the building. Chinese lanterns, popcorn, and snacks from the 1970s were all there!
Of course, I had to go...seeing how much I LOVE trailer parks, park art, and pink flamingos! Here are several pictures that examine the art of the trailer park!
Pink flamingo, plastic flowers, and picket fence! Drive In movie set up was to the left.
and then there was the trailer...
Scamp...the lightweight travel trailer...carrying happy motorists since 1972...so the web site says!
Kitchen with dishware, blue speck coffee pot, and ... gotta love the linens!
"Sitting Area" with plastic flowers ... looking out the back! Here we see the first signs of the interesting color combination along with the blend of bandanna, plaid, stripes, and what looks like tie-dye on the windows.
Dining Room which looks like it might convert into the bedroom! Nice window dressings... is that a Lava Lamp?!! What can one say about the combination of plaid and the traditional pattern of the table cloth. ahhh...the decorating of the 1970s!
...and don't forget...
Here's to the Arts Company for putting on a most excellent show!

Lovin' the pink flamingos!
