Today, I decided to share one of my favorite places in our downtown building!
Once the lofts were all sold, the sales office was converted to a "meeting room, resident's area, work room, etc."
Much of the original sales office furniture stayed--just rearranged a bit. On Saturday mornings or on weekday nights, I pop in to check out who's using the meeting room.
On many occasions, I have seen other residents using the area for work, relaxation, and just for hanging out!
My husband and I always think that the meeting room would be great for weekday, informal meetings as well as for mini conferences. What do you think?
Situated off the lobby, the meeting area is on the first floor of the Bennie Dillon. You can see the original banister and marble floor. The meeting room is to the left of this picture.
This cafe table was originally in the BD cafe downstairs on the ground floor. The table looks out the the lobby. It's a great addition to the meeting area. Check out the cool carpeting which complements the deep red accent walls.
A meeting / work area replaced the sales office desk.
Additional meeting / conversation space:
On the wall above the sofa...a piece of the original banister from the late 1920s:
Artwork and exposed ductwork to highlight the "industrialism" of hard loft space.
Simple, window dressing for an obstructed window
Kitchen area (reflective of the Post renovation that took place in 1998).
...heading to the Bennie!
